Red berry and Chia Jam/ fruit pot

INGREDIENTS (SERVES 2-3)

  • 1 apples, peeled, cored, quartered and sliced

  • 1 pears peeled, cored, quartered and sliced

  • 7-10 strawberries

  • 10-15 rasberries

  • you can add more berries if you prefer

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

  • a bit of honey if the berries aren't sweet enough

  • 1/2 -1 a cup of water

  • about 1/2-1 tsp of lemon juice

  • 1-2 large table spoon chia seeds

METHOD

  1. put everything into a pan 

  2. Cook them until the fruit is soft.

  3. Mash them slightly with a fork or in a blender

  4. Pour them into a jam jar and add your chia seeds (if you like your jam a little runny then add 1 tbsp but if you want it to be more jelly like add 2 maybe even 3 depending on how much jam you made)

  5. Let the jam cool and it is ready to eat

  6. Keep it in the fridge - should keep for about 3-5 days.

  7. make sure you taste your jam before it is finished cooking as you might need to add a little extra sweetness depending on our berries.
