My oat milk recipe

My new obsession is oats milk.

Since finding out that Annabelle has a sensitivity to dairy we have been mostly using oats milk as a milk alternative and we are now all fans ❤️❤️


This is my recipe for oats milk and I love how easy it is to make and very cost effective.

My Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 100g oats

  • 800-1 litre of cold or filtered water

  • A pinch of good quality sea salt (optional)

  • (I like mine with a little salt and fresh vanilla)

Method:

  • Soak the oats in water for at least 30 minutes. I normally soak mine overnight, but it’s not necessary.

  • Drain the oats and wash them (discard the soaking water).

  • Blend the oats with 800ml to 1L fresh cold water (you can use filtered water if you prefer)

  • Strain the milk using a sieve or a cheesecloth- I just use my sieve.

  • Can be kept in the fridge for about 3 days if kept in a sealed container or bottle.
