How to build an exercise habit

How to build a daily exercise habit by doing a little exercise every day in 15 weeks

To start building your exercise habit you need to do the following:

Week 1: Do 1 minute of exercise every day

Week 2: Do 2 minutes of exercise every day

Week 3: Do 3 minutes of exercise every day

Week 4: Do 4 minutes of exercise every day

Week 5: Do 5 minutes of exercise every day

Week 6: Do 5 minutes of exercise then have 1 minute rest and then do 1 minute of exercise every day

Week 7: Do 5 minutes of exercise then have 1 minute rest and then do 2 minute of exercise every day.

Week 8: Do 5 minutes of exercise then have 1 minute rest and then do 3 minute of exercise every day.

Week 9: Do 5 minutes of exercise then have 1 minute rest and then do 4 minute of exercise every day.

Week 10: Do 5 minutes of exercise then have 1 minute rest and then do 5 minute of exercise every day.

Week 11: Do 5 minutes of exercise then have 1 minute rest and then do 5 minute of exercise, then have 1 minute rest and then do another 1 minute of exercise  every day.

Week 12: Do 5 minutes of exercise then have 1 minute rest and then do 5 minute of exercise, then have 1 minute rest and then do another 2 minute of exercise every day.

Week 13: Do 5 minutes of exercise then have 1 minute rest and then do 5 minute of exercise, then have 1 minute rest and then do another 3 minute of exercise every day.

Week 14: Do 5 minutes of exercise then have 1 minute rest and then do 5 minute of exercise, then have 1 minute rest and then do another 4 minute of exercise every day.

Week 15: Do 5 minutes of exercise then have 1 minute rest and then do 5 minute of exercise, then have 1 minute rest and then do another 5 minute every day.

 

You can chose to do a different exercise per minute or do the same exercise for the full 5 minutes it is completely up to you all I ask is you do 1 minute per exercise.

 

And that is it!

You don’t have to do any more and in 15 weeks you will have build yourself into the habit of exercising for 15 minutes a day.

It doesnt have to be complicated you can use very simple exercises and get fantastic results and strengthen your core at the same time.

 

The exercises that are easy to do and can make a big difference to your body are:  

  • Squats
  • Sprints on the spot
  • Lizards
  • Burpees
  • Dips
  • Hill climbs
  • Slow high knees
  • Leg pulses
  • Unstable cats
  • Backward lunges
  • Press ups
